Terms of Service (User Agreement)

Legal relationship
This User Agreement (“Agreement”) constitutes a contract between you and R.N.ALRAWI PTY LTD trading as RONX, a registered remittance service provider. By clicking “Accept,” creating an account or using any RONX service, you agree to comply with this Agreement, our Transaction Depreciation Policy (Section 1) and our Privacy Policy (Section 3). If you do not agree, do not use our services.
Our services
- Wallet services - RONX provides a multi-currency wallet that allows you to store value, convert currency, send money to other RONX users and receive funds. We hold wallet funds in pooled accounts with authorised banking partners. We are not a bank; wallet balances do not earn interest and may not be protected by government deposit-guarantee schemes.
- Money transfers - You may send money to a recipient’s RONX wallet, bank account, card or cash-pickup location in corridors supported by our platform. We will notify you of available corridors and any country-specific restrictions. We recommend you only send money to people you know and trust.
- Prepaid cards - Where offered, RONX prepaid cards are issued by licensed financial institutions. Separate cardholder terms apply and you must accept those terms to use the card.
- Agent network - Cash-pickup transactions are fulfilled by independent agents. We conduct due diligence on agents, but they are not our employees and RONX is not responsible for their acts or omissions except as required by law.
Eligibility and account creation
- Age and capacity - You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You must not open an account on behalf of another person or entity without our prior consent.
- Territorial restrictions - Our services are not available in all countries or regions. We may block or restrict services to comply with sanctions, embargoes or local law. You must not use our services if you are a resident of a country where we do not offer services or if you are on a sanctions list.
- Identity verification - To comply with AML/CTF regulations, we must verify your identity and, when necessary, the identity of your beneficial owners. You agree to provide accurate information and documents. We may require proof of address, source of funds and other information. Failure to provide requested information may result in refusal of service or account suspension.
AML/CTF compliance
RONX maintains an Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Program. We perform KYC, enhanced due diligence and transaction monitoring. We must report suspicious matters to AUSTRAC within the required timeframe and are prohibited from telling you when a report is made. By using our services you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of information for compliance purposes.
Using RONX services
- Account security - You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, security codes and devices secure. Do not share them with anyone. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access or fraud.
- Funding your wallet - You can fund your wallet with eligible payment instruments such as debit cards, credit cards, bank transfers or cash via agents. You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for the amount and fees. Some card issuers may treat funding as a cash advance and impose fees.
- Making transfers - When you submit a transfer, you authorise us to process the transaction and debit your wallet or payment instrument. You are responsible for ensuring that recipient details (name, account numbers, wallet IDs) are accurate. If you provide incorrect details, your funds may be lost. We may allow you to save recipient details for future use; by doing so you create a trusted list of recipients.
- Transaction limits - We may set daily, monthly and per-transaction limits based on factors such as your verification level, corridor risk and payment method. We may change limits at our discretion without prior notice.
- Delays and holds - We may delay or hold transactions to verify identity, ensure sufficient funds, review risk or comply with law. We will treat your payment order as received only after we have satisfied these checks.
Fees and exchange rates
- Disclosure - All fees and estimated exchange rates are displayed before you confirm a transaction. Fees are deducted from the amount you send. Additional agent, bank or card-issuer fees may apply.
- Revenue from exchange rates - You acknowledge that we may earn revenue from the exchange rate applied to a transaction and that by instructing us to process a transaction you accept the applied rate.
Prohibited activities
You agree not to use RONX services for: (a) unlawful purposes; (b) transactions involving gambling, weapons, narcotics, controlled substances or adult services; (c) transactions on behalf of a third party without our consent; (d) transactions involving sanctioned persons or countries; (e) sending money to unknown recipients or as part of scams. We may, in our sole discretion, reject or reverse transactions that we believe violate this Agreement or applicable law.
Third-party services
RONX may provide access to services supplied by third parties (e.g., payment processors, banks, mobile networks, compliance providers). Your use of those services may be subject to separate terms between you and the third party. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control. You must review and comply with the applicable third-party agreements.
Intellectual property and licence
RONX owns all intellectual property rights in its app, website, trademarks and content. We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our app and services for personal use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse engineer our software or use our brand without permission.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, RONX and its directors, employees and agents are not liable for indirect, special, incidental or consequential losses (including lost profits or loss due to currency fluctuations). Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the services is limited to the amount of money you have transferred plus fees paid[12]. Nothing in this Agreement excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold RONX, its affiliates and service providers harmless from any claims, losses, damages and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of this Agreement, your misuse of the services or your violation of law or the rights of any third party.
Suspension and termination
- By you - You may close your account at any time. You must not close your account to avoid an investigation. Funds in your wallet will be returned to you subject to fees, exchange rates and legal requirements.
- By RONX - We may suspend or close your account without prior notice if we reasonably believe you have violated this Agreement, engaged in prohibited activities, provided false information or if required by regulators. We may also freeze funds or impose limitations as necessary to comply with law.
- Effect of termination - Termination does not relieve either party of obligations incurred prior to the termination date. We may retain your information for compliance purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.
Notices and communications
By registering for RONX, you consent to receive electronic communications via in-app messages, email or SMS. We may send you receipts, confirmations, account statements, notices of changes to terms and marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing but cannot opt out of service communications. You must keep your contact details up to date.
Governing law and dispute resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you may have additional rights under EU consumer-protection laws. Any dispute arising from this Agreement shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia. Before initiating court proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes amicably. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority or to use alternative dispute-resolution mechanisms available in your jurisdiction.
Changes to this Agreement
RONX may change this Agreement from time to time. We will give you reasonable notice of material changes via email, our app or website. Continued use of the services after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Agreement. If you do not agree to the changes, you must discontinue using the services.
